The Mogl team is looking for a strategic, hands-on Controller to help shape our next chapter of growth. In this role, you will build and lead our finance function while owning core accounting operations, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.

You will partner closely with our founders and leadership team to guide key business decisions, implement scalable financial systems, and provide clear, data-driven insights as we grow. This role blends operational excellence with strategic partnership and will play a critical role in supporting Mogl’s long-term success.

WHO YOU ARE 

  • Relevant experience and progression through financial roles including demonstrable expertise in accounting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), forecasting, and budgeting
  • Proven track record of implementing, optimizing, and scaling financial systems, tools, and processes including oversight of AP/AR, periodic financial statements, and cash flow processes
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and experience managing audits, taxes, and compliance. 
  • Proficiency in implementing and optimizing financial systems and tools including Quickbooks Online, Excel modeling, Salesforce, and BI systems/dashboards
  • Self-directed, proactive team member who thrives working independently and taking ownership - experience in supporting high-growth startups or scaling organizations strongly preferred
 

WHAT YOU WILL YOU DO IN THIS ROLE 

  • Own the company’s financial strategy, planning, forecasting, and long-term financial goals while managing daily accounting operations including treasury, billing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger & revenue recognition
  • Lead budgeting, financial modeling, and scenario planning to support quarterly/annual planning and strategic initiatives
  • Oversee monthly close of all financial reporting, and analysis, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Forecast and manage cash flow, banking relationships, and overall financial health of the organization
  • Design and improve scalable financial systems, processes, and automation (including AI-driven improvements)
  • Identify financial risks, strengthen internal controls, and provide proactive guidance to leadership
  • Partner closely with Mogl founders and leadership to drive growth and business decision-making

Please note this role is only open to Denver-based employees. The role will be working from the Mogl office on Tuesdays and Thursdays in downtown Denver. 

The information below is provided for those hired in Colorado only. 

  • The estimated Colorado-based pay range for this role is a base salary of $120,000–$160,000, depending on experience, plus a quarterly incentive bonus.


The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
